Some folks have wondered about why some art is accepted and some very similar art is not. Please remember that moderators are human, and have moods that vary from day to day and week to week. I try to hold the line in this group to art that is naturist, not just nude (and definitely not porn). That can be a very subjective criteria. Please have patience.
If you have had art rejected recently, please resubmit it. But, in the future, when possible, please remember that what we are looking for is social, mixed-gender, non-sexual nudity (ie. nudism), and not just nudes.

(In)voluntary gender balance
The rules for submitting to this group have been changed recently, to allow for single-gender art to be included where it demonstrates nudist principles. Having said that, as an admin I am still committed to preserving the essential nature of this group. I am resisting allowing it to become essentially just another online "Playboy", with nothing more significant than a collection of young, skinny, naked females. When the gallery starts to skew in that direction, it will get pruned.
Rule change consideration
For several years now we as editors have tried to follow the stated guidelines of only accepting social, non-sexual, consensual, mixed-gender art. As a result, certain images have been rejected, particularly images where all the characters are of the same gender, or images where a single character is nude in a natural setting. The reason these have been rejected is that I felt they do not actually promote nudism. The United States, at least, has a long history of single gender social nudity (think gang showers in high school), and that has not yielded a naturist society. Of late, however, I have found my opinion of this rule changing. How muc
Nudist comics
We've been publishing work from jay042 (https://www.deviantart.com/jay042) a lot recently. One of my interests as a cartoonist is nudist comics, and I for one would like to showcase more of them here. If you know of any on DA or elsewhere, please let us know!
Expanding a bit: there are probably two definitions you could use to describe what I'm interested in:
1. Narrowly, nudist comics are defined as "Comics about nudists, from a well-informed point of view, preferably with a pro-nudist stance." As mentioned in the comments below, Loxie and Zoot/The Bare Pit is the best known example of that.
2. More broadly, I also consider the following to be nudist comics: "Comics wh
The new nude
I have been asked what my criteria are for posting images in this group. Before I respond to that question, I must say that I am not the only moderator to this group, and that my criteria are not always consistently applied (yes, I do have my bad days). When I am the one doing the approving (and I am in my right mind) I look for an image that says "non-sexual, consensual, multi-gender, social nudity".
Wow. Yes, that is a bit more complex than just "is she naked"? But hey, I'm an adult, and I am capable of complex reasoning. Nudism and naturism are about all of the above, not just some of the above. Most of the images I get to approve fall in

Hi Reinder I think it is very important for moderators to be as consistent as possible and, for this group, to act conform the group you reprecent.
It is also naturism to be not that itchy on the decline button. In my naturist association it is normal to accept other peoples opinion and ideas.
I am also the one who guards this in this association. Naturism is not only to be nude among other nude people but also to feel free and equal without any domination.
I don't judge art to be only beautiful but, like you, to see if the artist has a message in it. This means that even some childish drawings can get a very nice and friendly comment from me.
So there are a lot of cartoons who let people think about naturism. Like the dog telling a child that he expect that this child also get fur on his body when he grows older.
It is, in my opinion, a piece of deviant art about naturism.
Maybe you where a bit to itchy declining this. Ore I don't understand your rules. But that's your decision I have to respect. No offence but I hope that you know what I mean my friend.
